Me and Some friends would like to go to the Bahamas for a Graduation present but we are worried about money. Im wondering how much it would cost if we budgeted and went to a cheaper hotel ect. Lets say we would go for 5 days and isnt the drinking age down there only 18.

  1. yes the drinking age is 18, but there is nothing cheap about bahamas - even their local beer is expensive, everybody has their hand out for a tip - that is one place i will not go back to

  2. We offer a variety of hotel options on our site. Have you considered a group cruise to the Bahamas? I can set it up for you, the more people you can get the better the price. For great deals, cruises, airfare, all inclusives and hotels please check out www.trussvilletravel.com. If you have any questions go to www.ytb.com/trussvilletravel and email me. Thanks

  3. Barbados fisherman always catch Flying Fish from Trinidad water.

  4. Okay, the Bahamas is NOT cheap at all. If you want all the good clubs and nightlife, you should come to nassau. Paradise Island which is part of nassau, has atlantis but is not inexpensive. In fact, if your on a budget, do NOT go to atlantis. Comfort Suites cost less, like 200 and some + a night during May which is one of the lowest rates you will find. It allows you to use atlantis facilites which you will want to use and is still pretty nice, but you wont find anywhere as incredible at atlantis. Over P.I. has some of the best clubs like aura and club plush and some of the best restaraunts or things to do. On nassau, the cable beach strip which held most of the hotels is closing down to create something bigger and better so right now their rates are pretty good. Crystal Palace is proabably the best you will get over on nassau for a cheap rate. Or the hilton would be a good idea because its in the heart of the island where all the shopping and tourist are. And senor frogs which is someplace you definitely will want to go is literally around the corner. Dont try the harsher clubs like fluid and waterloo because they are more for locals. Yes, the drinking age is 18.

If you want anymore info about nassau or paradise island just ask me. I live here so I could let you know anything you need to know and alot of my friends in the states come down here and love it.

If you want a more low key and less expensive place, you can try any of the other islands like Grand Bahama, Abaco or any other ones suggested. Abaco is pretty up to date, but like i said, even though is less expensive, it is low key so not too much happens unless your in nassau.

  5. You don't say what you call cheap or where you will be flying from. Bahamas is not a cheap island but maybe with some research you will find a hotel package on sale.

Good Luck and have fun with your friends)

  6. grand bahama is the best place to visit.  it is  much more affordable than nassau.  if you want to experience island life then you can drive down to west end and east end the people in those settlements are very friendly.  freeport is the city there is quite a few things you can do there.

  7. in ababco, bahamas i stayed at a nice hotel called island breeze real cheap by the water and near the night life and abaco is better than paridise island trust me.
