  1. look for and remove the oil filter, thats all you need to do..good luck

  2.   I belive its a 15mm bolt, if you crawl under the front of the truck directly in the middle you will see a pan with a bolt, it will be the lowest thing coming off the engine. remove the bolt and let the oil drain out to your container. Its best to drain the oil with the engine warm so the additives in the oil pick up everything inside the engine they can. Then use a filter wrench to remove the oil filter, its located I think on the left side of the engine just above the oil pan. Just unscrew the filter and wipe the mounting surface clean, that also makes sure the old oil filter gasket didnt stay stuck to the block. You might want to pour like 1/2 a quart of clean oil into the new filter to give the engine oil right away when you start it up. Also wipe a small amount of oil onto the new filters gasket to ensure a good seal. Fill the engine up with new oil and your done. To make sure how much oil you need look in your owners manual under "capacitys".

  3. stand directly in front of the hood of your vehicle, get on your back, and crawl directly under your sierra head first, the oil drain plug will be on the very bottom of you engine and will be bigger than the rest of the other bolts any where else on the engine.  A metric wrench set will have the proper wrench for removing the bolt.  The filter should be to your left, usually they are only hand tight and you might not need a tool to remove it, just twist it off.  make sure the old gasket (the rubber on top of the filter) didnt stick to the engine, and replace it with a new filter after you have lubricated the new filter with a little oil to make sure it doesnt stick the next time you change the oil.  Then fill your engine with oil to the amount recommended by the manufacturer, and check your dipstick to make sure it is filled with oil, turn the car on and then turn it off and check you dipstick again, it should be at the proper amount

dont just remove your oil filter, that is short cut but it doesnt drain all the old oil, and you dont wanna reuse old motor oil, gross man
