Where is the old Colby on All My Children??

I loved the old Colby and her character. I realized a month or so ago there is a new colby and i hate her. Sh is a horrible actress and is a whole new colby. What happened to the old one??!!

It was reported that the old girl was abruptly fired because they wanted to age the charcter so they could pair her with Frankie. But, that has not happened and the character is the same age. I agree, she is a horrible actress and is a lot of them time unbearable to watch. The other girl was such a cutie and a good actress, I dont know what they were thinking, maybe the new head writer might change his mind!

From what I've heard, they got rid of the old Colby because they wanted one who looked older and planned to pair her with Frankie.  Then they changed their mind and we're stuck with the new Colby.  I think old-Colby wanted to leave anyway.  She was more bubbly and I liked her with Sean Montgomery, but they got rid of Sean too.

I think the new Colby is much prettier than the old one, but sometimes she looks stoned.  Or sleepy. Something isn't right.  She doesn't show any passion at all, about anything.  She's just rather dull and bored looking.  I think if they wrote her into a passionate storyline, maybe she would snap to, but then again, she was just in the storyline of the accident with Annie's brother and she was still acting bored and numb. Maybe it's that alcoholic gene she has.  It makes her numb. I don't know. She needs to snap out of it.

Ambyr Childers (Colby Chandler) has left All My Children and the show has quickly moved to recast the role of Colby

Due to other opportunities that have come quickly into my life, I will no longer be playing Colby Chandler on All My Children," Childers said in a statement. "This decision took heartfelt consideration and after weighing my options as an actress, the decision seemed to become more apparent to move on within my career."

Childers did not elaborate on the new opportunities she is pursuing. Meanwhile, an AMC spokesperson hints that Childers was forced out of the show, saying that "storyline dictated the change" made to the role.

Earlier in the month, All My Children put out a casting call for the role of "Edie." The audition scene was a tweaked version of a scene between Colby and Dre, prompting more than a few raised eyebrows. A show spokesperson denied that the casting call was a secret search for a new Colby
