Where is the safest places to live around Perth and fremantle?

I personally think that the Coogee area is the safest.

I havnt even heard of stealing or vandalism there.

Perth is a rather safe place to live - but you must apply a reasonable amount of common sense. It's a large sprawling city with a population that is growing fast so you would expect it to have an atmosphere and security of a city of 1.5 million people.

For example, it's perfectly safe to travel by train, or take a taxi... but not all on your own late at night.

Burglary and theft are low, but don't leave your house doors open or your keys in the car!

Shopping is relatively relaxed and carefree, but don't leave your handbag on your trolley.

That sort of thing.

And there really are no suburbs that are better than others in any great way - they all enjoy a high level of security on the whole. Of course there are slight differences, and you do get graffiti happening etc, but generally you will find that security is fine.

I lived in Karrinyup for 3 yrs and never had a prob, nice and quiet and no young people that tend toward the bad side of life, you could do alot worse.  Has a large shopping centre and pub and is short drive to beach.
