Where is the safety Tab on a vhs tape?

If you prop the VHS tape strait up with the ribbon cover touching the table; it's on the BOTTOM LEFT HAND CORNER. If you bought a recordable VHS, there should be a BLOCKED tab there. If it's a an actual video you purchased the tab is most likely gone to avoid copying over it.
