  1. Although it refers to the character "Pruitt" (i.e., Sonny Pruitt the character played by actor Claude Akins on the television show "Movin' On" -- 1974-75 NBC), the phrase is found at the close of C.W. McCall's "trucker" song titled, "Round The World With The Rubber Duck" ("Round The World With The Rubber Duck"-1976 Polydor Incorporated).  The phrase is heard on the trucker's CB radio:

    [On the CB.]

"Ah, ten-four, Pig Pen, what's your twenty? Australia? Mercy sakes, ain't nothin' down there but Tasmanian devils and them Q-alla bears. What's that? No double-nickel limit? We gonna be there in a short, Pig Pen. This here's the Rubber Duck, ten-ten and ***doin' it to it like Pruitt*** [emphasis added] used 'ta do it to it . We gone. 'Bye-'bye."
