Where is the starter solenoid on a 2001 VW Jetta?

My car won't start and I was told that sometimes the solenoid gets stuck.

It should be connected to your starter.. They are bolted onto eachother.. You can see the starter on the passengers side under the engine, then there should be a smaller cylindric shaped molded in with it. There should be two or three bolts to take it off and i THINK 3 wires. don't let the wires touch eachother or anything metal on the car...

little round thingy attatched to big round thingy aka starter you should be able to lightly tap the assembly while someone is cranking engine most of the time if it just started to go out it will restart with a little whack.
