Where is the statement of account on a debit card shown?

i use a debit card which my dad put money on. i don't manage the account or anything. where can the statement of account that lists all the purchases made be obtained? and how?

  1. If you have online access then you usually won't recieve a statement. Otherwise depending on your bank/credit union cycle usually once a month or quarter. Or you can go in and ask for a copy of you statement at the bank, but there may be a fee for that.


  2. A copy of your statement should be mailed to you every month unless you have opted out and chosen to see an online statement only. You should be able to log in to your bank's Web site to see your account at any time. You may have to sign up for this at the Web site by giving them your account number and your PIN.

  3. I doubt you have access to it, unless you are 'registered' on the account.

    For instance, my husband has a Discover card, and although he got them to send me a card with my name on it, if I called Discover to ask any questions, they wouldn't tell me anything because I wasn't a primary cardholder. However, he did end up adding me as that, so I have access to the account now.
