Fuel injected engines have fuel pumps inside the gas tank.

I would guess you have an overheat problem ?? If the water pump was at fault it would be obvious as it would be leaking coolant and you could see it on the ground beneath the car. I would suggest you go to a RADIATOR SHOP, not an auto repair, and have the problem checked.

Looking in from bonnet the pump will be down on the left hand side of the engine. It's drive belt is the actual timing belt on the 1.4 and 1.6 engines.

On the 2.0 and diesel models it's driven by the auxiliary belt that also drives the steering pump.
