Where is the weather nice in July?

Question

I'm having a hard time finding a place where I can escape the heat and sun. Is the weather nice anywhere (in North America - I know I could go to the Southern Hemisphere) in July? Thanks!

The weather in southern california is nice all year round.  July it is amazing if you are by a beach.

The Upper Peninsula of Michigan including

St. Ignace, Marquette, Sault. Ste Marie, and Ironwood.  

  

     It gets lots of high pressure systems featuring

beautiful skies,  high temperatures in the upper 70°s and 80° 's F and beautiful long days.  Sunrise is

near 6am slightly before, sunset is 9:20 to 9:35 at night (Eastern Daylight Time areas) giving you beautiful twilight as late as 10 pm+

There is nearly no pollution, it is quiet, almost like visiting a paradise .  However, that is July.   Residents pay for that in January when temperatures can easily drop to -30°F or

lower and is night in the morning until an 8:20 am

Note,  I saw you want to excape the sun.   This place has beautiful sunny weather but because it

is at 45° N Latitude, the sun hits at a lower angle than it does in the USA South where  latitudes are

around 30° N .  In Miami, Fl which is at 26° N the

sun at summer solstice is only 3° South of the zenith at astronomical noon (near 12:30 to 1:30pm in daylight savings areas) which is a blistering sun.  However at 45° N  which is where

the UP of Michigan is,the Summer Solstice sun is at 45-23 = 22° South of the zenith at  so it never hits you with the direct pounding July rays you experience in Florida, Alabama, Arizona, or Nevada.     The higher the sun reachs relative to you the more oppressive and pounding the heat

Summers in iowa are not to hot. The weather is always in the 80's.

The coastal sections of the west coast of the United States are usually nice. I have been to San Francisco in July before and experienced high temperatures below 70F, and the same goes for Seattle. However, they too can sometimes have warm spells, so do not expect it to always be nice. Coastal sections near Los Angeles can also be pretty pleasant and it is usually a tad warmer than in San Francisco and Seattle. For instance, the forecast today for Newport Beach, California calls for a high of 75F and a low of 63F under partly sunny skies.

I hear the the weather in Alaska, particularly Juneau and the panhandle, is really nice this time of year.  Fairly cloudy, with temperatures staying in the 50s.  Should be a perfect escape from the July doldrums!
