I know each candidate has web sites, but does anyone know of where I could find information thru third party, or discussion forums. Also Is there a place that lists the other candidates running, other that the two major??

  1. Theres a way you can pull up their congresional voting record.  Dont know how, but thats all you need.  Obama is the most liberal member of the senate and McCain isnt a lot better.

  2. http://www.2008electionprocon.org/

If you are a McCain supporter who is fueled by anti Obama rumors than this site is no good, but it does have  a lot of their stances on issues and stuff.

  3. Not Fox News.  CNN tries to be but I am not sure.  Most media is skewed in some way.  CNN is what comes to my mind>

  4. politico.com

  5. Voting for a third-party candidate is, unfortunately, a waste of your vote under our current political system. To find them, however, all you have to do is google it. You can look for the Green Party, Independent, etc. I don't know if they're all announced yet, of course.

Actually, the candidate's sites are the best place to get a look at their views in their own words. From there, you should try: http://www.ontheissues.org

Simply googling 'candidates on the issues' will give you other options as well.

  6. i go to ontheissues.org it is very useful and shows their positions, voting records, and when they have flaws in there plans,  good luck i always support an informed voter, no matter who they vote for.

They have info on third party candidates, and remember it is not a waste, dem/rep adapt to meet the needs of 3rd parties

  7. Slate.com is a good one - whenever Obama f***s up Slate picks it up. That said, they kinda lean to the left.
