Where is your favorite spot to surf in NC?

Personally I'm a topsail island girl but I want to find other spots since the waves are kinda suckish

I suspect that d cumbie doesn't really surf. If he did, he'd know that aside from a lack of consistency, the east coast is fair competition for all but the best SoCal breaks (and the water is warmer in the Summer).I checked these out on Surfline and threw in the links.

I am partial to both, but haven't been there for a few years, so it may be a little more crowded and commercialized (I.E. touristy) than I remember it. I haven't surfed the Outer Banks for a lifetime either, but I wasn't all that thrilled with the summer crowd scene, even way back when. (I started surfing there in '71 or '72, when you could sleep on the beach all night, and only be bothered by sand crabs).

i take a yearly drive up to the outer banks every year with my college surf club around halloween and there is usually really good surf somewhere along the islands.  we stay at camp sites in waves and usually just go either right off of our site or drive down the street.  if its hittin from the south we go down to cape hattaras

C-street at Wrightsville.  Best break in southern NC.  If you want to travel to the OBX, S-Turns is the best spot on NC-12.
