My husband and I would like to take a vacation now that summer is over and no one else is on vacation. We need a place that is child friendly, we have twin 5 year olds and a newborn, so no place like Vegas. What are some of your favorite vacation places and why do you like them? Thank you for you input.

  1. sun, sand, and cheap- Gulf Shores, Alabama

  2. Hi I'm italian, I live in Venice; it's a beautiful place, build in a water, the city it's busy especially in summer, however  it's costly! for you and you're family is better Capri a city in Naples with a fantastic panorama  for relax and spent a beautiful holiday. By I hope to have been helpful. I don't know if my english it's correct!

  3. Nice (pronounced Neese) in France. Terribly hot during the day if you're used to a cold climate like I am but it's a very hot, quiet, relaxing holiday. My family and I rented an apartment on the Promenade Des Anglais and the beach was literally across the road (and you had a beautiful ocean view from the balcony!) Every day we either went to the quiet beach, swam in the ocean or hopped on a bus (bus stop five minutes away, too) and went to an air-conditioned shopping mall. It was a beautiful holiday and really relaxing. I'm pretty sure you, your husband and your children will love it because there are lots of other families and children there, too. Completely child-friendly with no crime or dodgy characters loitering around, either.

  4. Mexico! I used to escape there whenever I had a chance, but my bank account hasn't been able to handle it these last years. And I don't mean go waste all your time in a well-known touristy beach town.

Hit the capital, take several hours to wander the zocalo (the main square), sit down in front of the cathedral (yes, on the ground) near locals and just take it all in, check out the artesan blankets that usually appear around one side of the cathedral, etc. Visit Frida Kahlo's house/museum, take a day trip (or week trip if you have time) to Cuernavaca (one hour outside of Mexico City).

You have to see Tasco! Beautiful rolling hillside town known worldwide for it's silver. Theeen you can hit a beach on the coast (the less tourists the better) and relax during the day, live it up at night! (But please, if the club doesn't play anything in Spanish, don't even bother going in!)
