  5. North York Moors, beautiful, wild, unspoilt. Country pubs, winding roads, woodlands, hills and valleys. Just breathtaking.

Do you remember that TV programme about The Most Beautiful Place In Britain?  The Lake District won, but I was all with Janet Street Porter for Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland.  I think Northumberland is outstanding but (as far as I know) not enough people visit it to discover how beautiful it is.

    PS:  I live in a village in Sussex and visitors often just stand and exclaim how beautiful it is.  But I have lived here since 1980 and stupidly I hardly notice it now.

  19. So far I have seen the Buckingham palace, or is it Windsor castle? One of them..anyways, I have also seen the London eye and a few gardens. The best place would have to be either chatsworth which is in Derbyshire I believe or my Moms cousins back yard where she has this lovely garden she has made/decorated and maintained.

    Personally I love Lyndhurst in the New Forest but "You pays your money and you takes your choice".

  29. If you are looking for a city then Norwich is the place. Great shops, bars, clubs, restaurants and lots of historical buildings. Shame about the football team but you can't have everything!
