  1. That makes me sad to hear that animals are treated that way... You should definitely liberate them... set them free... in the cover of darkness

  2. ok first u need to tell the cops about the tigers in a cage. tigers r wild animals they arent meant for cages. yes i know exotic places but they do not have tigers. he cant have gotten them from somewhere aroud u. bc even exotic pet stores dont sell siberian tigers.

  3. There are no exotic stores for large cats.  However, there are exotic cat breeders in the US.  With the proper USDA licensing and zoning (and quite a bit of money), people can buy them.  There is an auction twice yearly in southern Ohio where seveal of these breeders bring large cats.  Tiger cubs sell for in excess of $5,000 or more.

I don't agree with owning a tiger (or any other exotic cat) for the sole purpose of having a very large pet.  There is a large cat rescue organization not too far from me, and the majority of the animals they have at the sanctuary are rescues from people just like your neighbor.  They are huge animals that require a large living area, proper diet and exercise.

I hope for your sake (and your neighbors), that the tiger owner knows what he's doing.  These animals never truly domesticate and there's always a risk of them injuring or killing someone.  Animals like this don't belong in large kennels as pets.

  4. call the police. or animal control. or ASCPA  and call them fast

  5. Unless he has a permit, that is illegal.

If he displays them like that, I would guess he has a permit but still, it might be worth checking into because you know what happens when you assume...

I would guess he had them imported.  Zoos don't usually sell their animals or offspring, and they obviously aren't something you can pick up at a pet store.  I know there are some exotic animal enthusiast in the country, but I still think they would be awfully hard to get your hands on...

  6. you definately have to have an exotic animal license....sometimes they will even transfer sickly animals from africa to whomever since they already know they will not have a chance in the wild.
