I haven't used a graphing calculator in 9 years but am in calculus and I have a TI-83 plus and can not figure out how to input something in more than the second power. I have questions asking for 3rd and 4th. Please help, I know I will feel stupid after someone telling me.

  1. use the triangle looking button.  Type in the number you want to put to a different power, then put the triangle looking thing(AKA the thing that's on the keyboard on the same key as the number 6) and then put the power you want to do it.

  2. you can use the carrot which is right below clear eg: 1^2 = 1²

or for something to the third just press Math then the 3 key

  3. theres a little carrot( ^ ) symbol on the right hand side under the clear button press it and then add the power you wanna put in. i put a pic so u can see where it is

  4. there is a button on the right side that looks kinda like a carrot..

    ^

and you would put the number in.

    like:

    3^3= 27

  5. ah. i had the same problem, and i realized i was going to slap myself on the head when i realized it. look on the buttons, for this symbol: ^ and then type the power.

for example: 10^4 is ten to the fourth.
