Where on the web would be the best place to go look up personal adoptions?

My husband and I are concidering adopting but we figuered that doing a personal one on one adotion would be cheaper than going through an adoption agency. But I'm not sure where on the net to start looking in my area. So can some one give me some pointers and mabe help me out with this or some one that has gone through this your self help me.

I think this is a disgusting practice.  It is predatory and totally unethical

Please go through the correct channels or, better yet, adopt one of the thousand of kids who are waiting in foster care for a loving home.  Adoption is all about the needs of children, right?

I'm so sick of self-entitled people preying on vulnerable women to satisfy their own selfish need.  

As an adoptee it is highly insulting that you would treat a human being like a commodity or a puppy or kitten changing hands - blech!!

Every single one of you need to stop what you are doing and go out and read some books on adoptees, and some blogs by adoptees and stop "looking in papers for a pregnant woman wanting to place an ad for her child"

Me and my husband are trying to find out the same thing but we have looked on the internet looking for over 5 years and still no luck yet. So I will keep looking too if you guys find anything please let us know too and what state are you in we are in Pennsylvania.

My husband and I are trying to do the same thing.  And I am wondering where I can find an ad by a young lady who wants to have her baby adopted. If you find out anything, please contact me, and I will do the same for you.
