Where shall my boyfriend and I visit in Greece?!?

I love to relax on the beach and go for a nice swim and my boyfriend loves to soak up the culture... We want lovely beaches and sea, with lots of culture and nice, chilled out bars and restaurants! We are not into all night partying or clubbing though, just relaxing with a nice cocktail :)

Any ideas?!

My husband and i just returned from Kefalonia island yesterday and i can tell you it was magical.The beaches are the most beautiful you can imagine and the history of the island very interesting.We stayed in Lassi near Argostoli the main city where you can have nightlife but there are some nice bars in Lassi as well.

The beaches in Lassi are beautiful but the top beaches of the island are Myrtos and Antissamos.The movie "Corellis mandolin" was filmed there.

Believe me it is exactly what you are looking for and it is not windy like the Aegean sea.Ionion sea islands don't usually have winds.

Ahh I love Greece. My sister and I backpacked Europe for 8 weeks last summer and we both agree that out of all the cities and countries we visited our number 1 spot was Santorini Greece, a greek island that is mainly the remains of an enormous volcanic explosion. There are many great beaches of all different kinds (Black sanded beaches which is eroded lava, as well as the famous red sanded beaches, and many more!) Although it is a fairly touristy island, my sister and I saw some amazing traditional Greek villages. We also signed up for one of the guided tours that included a hike up the volcano, a swim in the hot springs, donkey rides and finally a visit to the village of Oia to watch its legendary sunset.  Overall, it was just a great place to go and relax. It was an especially nice place for us because it was a huge break from all the cities we were visiting. The whole island is fairly small so it just felt like a big village. Everyone rents bikes, atvs, or cars to explore the island, but my sister and I spent most our days their lying on the beach.

Ok! I'm really glad you look for relaxation instead of the partying and stuff. I'm from Greece and out of all the island i've visited so far in my country i would suggest koufonisia or ikaria. These islands aren't as crowded as Mykonos let's say and have beautiful beaches and wonderful food, an ideal destination for a couple that wants to relax and see beautiful places.. Once again if you are willing to drive to secluded areas, the beaches are unbelievable!!!

Ps/ Please don't make a mistake and choose the islands in the Ionian sea. It doesn't matter that much which island you're going to choose for your holidays as long as it is in the Aigean Sea. All the beauty lies there.  ^^

well im really jealous lol jk, well in drama class we've learned thats where theatre started, so why not look at some neato theatres and learn about them, the history in greece is amazing, known for its art too, well im not sure about all the beaches and stuff but you can always check online
