Question:

Where should I apply for a job?

I'm a teenager (16) and I need a part-time job during the school year to pay for gas and other expenses. I live in the suburbs of Twin Cities, MN and have plenty of options for places to work. I would need my hours to be very flexible. I would probably only be able to work on weekends and occasionally after school in the evening. I don't want to work anywhere trashy (like Burger King!), and I would like decent pay. I'm really smart and responsible. Do you have any suggestions?

  1. you sound rather picky for someone who needs a job. you could try to apply at some grocery stores

  2. Work at a grocery store as a cart pusher. (they have you do more than that). As for pay, you won't be getting much more than minimum wage anywhere until you go to college.

  3. wow your picky, good luck finding a job to fit that description especially with no previous work experience!

  4. well...

dress in something S****y and find a corner.

  5. you sound like a pissy *** teenager i would say get used to laying on your back with your legs open for some rich guy =]

  6. Hollister and you get 20% off purchase

  7. Retail...now is the time to start looking because they will be looking for extras for Xmas.  Most are flexible with hours and they like young people who are energetic and have good people skills.  Plus you get a great discount on what you buy, and unlike fast food you won't smell like french fries.  You will be asked how well you get along with the public so put you best face forward and be ready to answer questions about handling money....honesty is very important.

Be sure to dress nice and wear a smile look them in the eye...at 16 you have to prove you are mature enough to handle responsibility and get three good character references.  Good Luck
