Where should I buy abroad?

My wife and I recently inherited some money from a relative who sadly passed away and with living in mind we have decided to buy a property abroad but we are keen to get our dream. If possible we would like to get use it as a rental property but also be able to use it now and again. We thought about Morocco but are now reconsidering.

Any advice on maintaining a property from the UK would be helpful too.

Thanks in advance.

  1. I am a BIG fan of Morocco.  It is an amazing place, but it is worth exploring all of your options.  There is a development at the moment which not only is backed by AXA so that you are guarenteed a return, but is managed and maintained by the estate and gives you 2 weeks of the year  as well as return flights for the first 2-3 years.  Sound too good to be true?    Check it our for yourself: http://www.ready2invest.co.uk/investment...

Other areas that are more obvious like Italy, which has one of the best tourism industry in Europe.

Up and coming places are Brazil, Russia, India, China - which are set to go boom in 2050, so investing now, when they are at their cheapest means that you are going to have fantastic growth without doing anything.

I hope that helps and give you some food for thought at least.

Good luck and all the best.

    Alex

  2. There's a new way to buy off plan as an investor but you also get to use the property. It's like being a part owner in a new hotel or holiday complex - as a perk, you get a few weeks use as well as a return on your investment - Try contacting www.themoneylocation.co.uk - they're authorised independent financial advisers regulated by the FSA
