I agree that Mie n Yu has a cool atmosphere. Once you're parked and on that street, just walk around because there are a bunch of places to eat.

Bistro Lepic is a great French Bistro on Wisconsin and S, fabulous!

Chef Geoffs on New Mexico by AU is fabulous.

My wife and I love the Tabard in on N East of Connecticut.  It is equal distant to Farraugat and Dupont Metro stops.  It is an old inn fabulous food and unique atmosphere.

Obelisk is also really great menu if you are a foody but if you have large group may be a challenge.  It is on P west of Dupont Circle.

Mie n Yu in Georgetown.....they have amazing hummos, wasabi mashed potatoes and delicious main courses!  The atomosphere is great too!
