Where should I go in Alicante for my holiday????

Im going with my two mates to Alicante in July and was wondering if anyone knew if there were any great clubs, pubs, bars, beaches, festivals, museums, architecture, shopping spots, most populated areas etc..

clubs/bars/people: benidorm

culture etc: altea, albir has a film festival very good.

I think for a lads holiday - if you plan to go out every night and get on it, then just lay about on the beach every day, then Benidorm is the place for you.  It's completely geared towards British tourists and has earnt the well deserved name of "Blackpool in Spain"

Albir is another resort, but it is more family oriented.

There are some prettier places on the Costa Blanca - Calpe, Javea, but you may find these too quiet for a holiday with the lads.
