  1. Absolutely to Rome, Florence and Venice. And then visit Pompei.

  2. Hi,

I am an italian girl I live in the south of Italy

You can visit Salerno, It is a very interesting town, It is near Amalfitan and Cilentan Coast.

You could find an Hotel in Salerno and travel by bus to visit other places for example Paestum rich of greek history, and amalfi, positano where sea is wonderful

  3. hye i would go to rome it is beautiful. been be4.

  4. I've lived in Italy for over 20 years, and I know it quite well.

It depends on what you are looking for.  If you want to see a beautiful art city then Rome, Florence, Venice, Perugia (less known but stunning).

For nice beaches all the south, really, Sardinia being the best.

For lovely countyside Tuscany, Maremma especially, has beautiful mix of maritime pine tree forests, pineta, right on the beach and very picturesque villages and landscapes inland (and also great food)

Cinqueterre in the Liguria region are great, caught between the sea and the mountains.

For nightlife and holiday atmos (better in the summer) the Adriatic riviera, in Emilia Romagna between Rimini and Riccione, or the Versilia in Tuscany, and Milan for fashion shopping.

Genoa has the oldest historical centre in Europe, and second largest aquarium, it's near the sea and off the tourist tracks.

Venice has to be seen.  Get there by train if you can, the railtracks are suspended on the sea and it's a great way to get the mood before you see the town.

The food is great anywhere, don't be eating bigburger crapp, as the hygiene inspectors in Italy are far tougher than Britain, you just need to look at a butcher's shop to realize that.

    Have fun!

  5. Rome.

  6. Roma! It's a must. Also go to the Vatican City which is amazing!!

Pompei is also a "have to see"

All of italy is stunning so you cant much go wrong!

Sorrento is a cool place to go too. Lively in the evenings-as is all around trevi fountain.

Beware of the motorists and mopeds...they drive like there are no rules! :-) and in the less touristy areas be respectful when out and about as police are rather strict.

Enjoy wherever you go...I know you will!

  7. If you have time, go to the Rome airport and catch a flight on Meridiana over to Olbia, Sardinia....Rent a car and tour the island..If you want to relax and enjoy the beaches it is the place for you! You won't regret it!

  8. If u've never been to Italy ,then go to Venice , Florence and Rome .

If u've already been here then try to concentrate on a specific area, since Italy is VEEEERY varied and u get different traditions,landscapes,art,people...

I'd suggest a tour of Veneto , a region in the north east of Italy , where u can visit its main cities : Venice , Verona ( Romeo&Juliet, remember) , Padua and the lake Garda.

or a tour of Tuscany : Florence,Siena, they've got a lovely countryside ( ask mr.Sting , he's got vineyards in there)

or visit Naples and the Amalfi coast , the best pizza is down there.

Sicily blends various historical backgrounds, nice cities and wonderful sea

Sardinia ....the best seaside in Italy...

and let me say again Rome, its historical background and archeological features are amazing . They've got so much ancient stuff that they can't even build a new underground since everytime they try they always find new archeological finds.

or , if u're into skiing , u should go in the northern parts of Veneto,Lombardy, Piedmont

  9. Rome if you like cities, history and architecture

The italian lakes, como etc if you like beautiful, spectacular scenery.

Have a top time, i love Italy me...
