Where should I go in a tornado?

Question

3 story townhouse, we are on the northeast corner, first floor is slab garage. I'm thinking vehicle in the garage, since there is no bathtub on the ground floor or 2nd floor, I'd rather not be 3 stories up if one hit. What do you think?

Well, if you don't want to go three stories up into a bathtub, then go under something heavy or into a room with no windows.

Yes, you definitely do not want to be on the top floor when and if a tornado hits. I would say that the bottommost floor, which appears to be the garage, is your best bet, unless of course there is a basement. Whichever floor is the lowest will be the safest place to be as long as you stay away from windows and exterior doors. Try to get to the center most part of that floor.

then hide somewhere low.

The safest place inside a house with no basement, is the bathroom.   The pipes and such provide more detailed structure.

if you have a closet that is in the middle of the ground floor, thats an option. basement?? dont go in the garage.
