Where should I go on a Sunday or Monday night in Montreal for clubs/live music?

I am going from Aug. 3 - 5 so if you know anything going on then specifically that would be great. We're two friends looking to let loose and tear up Montreal for a couple of days and since we aren't there for the weekend (when most stuff is going on) I don't know where the music is on sunday and monday.

I suggest Crescent street, that's where it all happens, just ask any Montrealer.

While Crescent street is fun..IF you're into crowded everything...But if you're looking for hip bars, pubs, clubs I'd hit up Saint Laurent street, I personally think it is much better than Crescent streets 10 meter stretch :P

Also St Denis street (more near Mont Royal) has some pretty great places (with good music), depending on what you're into!

And I assume you'll have a map on you?
