Where should I go to have my car painted?

My car is white, and I would like to paint it red or black. What chain/co handles paint jobs. And what kind of price should I expect to pay? If it matters I have a 2000 Ford Focus LX

You could ask your insurance company for advise. They deal with a variety of shops and may be able to suggest a good one for you. please keep in mind that changing the color, especially to black is more expensive.

have you called any paint shops that would be the best place to start look in the phone book under auto body or paint

I think you should go to an auto repair service or an auto paint shop because they usually have those auto paint services.or you can go to an auto body shop.i know for sure they usually have it.i think for 1000 dollars for a good auto paint.

See if you have a Maaco near you -- they're a big chain.  They sometimes run specials where you can get your car painted for $500 or so.  According to their website their services can be as little as a few hundred dollars or $1000 or more.  I know people who have used Maaco and their car came out looking great.
