Question:

Where should I hold my husband's surprise 30th birthday in the Bay area?

We want to take him to a place where they will do something special for his birthday. Examples are places like AsiaSF that has "gender illusionists" that serve you and will sing happy birthday, a mexican restaurant that will surprise you from behind and force shots into you, or something like Joe's Crab Shack that will make you dress up in front of everyone.

We want somewhere in the Bay Area or close vicinity and we either will have just a smaller dinner for a party of about 25 or if allowed and price okay, then rent out the place and have a larger guest list. We don't want to spend too much, like AsiaSF will probably charge $38/head if we throw the party there or like the dinner shows at Pier 39 where they cost a lot per person too.

Does anyone have any suggestions like this?

  1. at a hooters

  2. We did this, it was pretty fun.  And the best part is that it's only 30 bucks per person and people are responsible for their own drinks and such... no DUIs and no nonsense with taxis.  Just a good time.
