I am in university and done next year. Before I start a career I want to live in Europe for a couple years but wasn't sure where. I need a location that is affordable and has a low unemployment rate so that finding won't be such a struggle. any ideas? thanks.

  1. Try living in Malta. It is still very cheap to live here compared to most places in Europe. Being a university graduate you should be able to get a job with no problem. Living is slow and the island is very safe. Everyone speaks English so that's another plus. Also being in the middle of the Med. Sea you can travel to North Africa or Europe in no time at all and the cost would be low because the distances are short. The weather is very hot in the summer months and you will get about 4 weeks in Jan. and Feb. the get to about 50 degrees, maybe 45 degrees at night. There is no heating in the houses here so  that tells you it really isn't needed. They are currently building a massive IT center on the island in cooperation with Dubai, there will be plenty of IT jobs, and the Maltese don't have enough people to fill all the jobs that will be created. So if that's your line you're really in luck. Good life if that's your thing. We also have great historical sites as well. We have standing temples older then the pyramids! Hope you look into Malta!!!

  2. My suggestion is Prague. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Although it has increased dramatically in cost of living in the past decade, it is still affordable. It also allows easy access to many areas of Europe - both east and west. If English is your native language you may be able to find a job teaching that would help you defray costs.

  3. Holland.  It's an up-and-coming place, and really beautiful.

I suggest you check it out!
