I'm not actually sure what I want to do, but it has something to do with recycling. Any ideas? I've look in our local paper, on monster, and craiglist for jobs, but haven't found any. Do you have any ideas?

  1. I live in the Chicago suburbs and there is a wonderful organization that deals with just what you're talking about. If this is not in your area, I'm sure they'd be happy to hook you up with someone who can advise you. Check out their site.

  2. Phone Book..get addresses and apply....

  3. Go to your local recycling centre and drop off your resume.

  4. Good for you. I've looked myself from time to time and it's hard to find the advertisements but they must be out there. Here's one with decent results:

Also, there are trade magazines, perhaps your library subscribes to them or city/county public works or similar branch. One is called Waste Age http://wasteage.com/. They may even have classifieds online.

Also, try your local city or county webpages for jobs if they have a recycling or similar department. A long time ago I was able to get an internship for our county solid waste management department which dealt in environmental education and compliance with county ordinances that involved business' recycling practices.

    Good luck!

  5. The biggest recycler in our city is the cardboard box maker.
