Where should I move in Illinois?

I'm 18 and I plan on moving out soon. I want to be somewhere that has a lot of fun things to do and somewhere that has a lot of people close to my age. I love to shop so it would be a definite bonus to be near a mall or something. Also, I want to feel safe where I live!!! Thanks =]

City - SW suburbs of chicago - almost Joliet, Plainfield.

Smaller city - Quad Cities.

close to chicago, but the outskirts close to chicago would be best so you can just go downtown whenever without having to deal with alot of the criminals lol chicago is the best place to have a good time and people that are young but places in chicago in the really nice areas are really expensive the rent would be around 1,000 and up for nice areas. =) hope i helped
