I'm 27 years old, I work in the banking industry and I currently make about $35K a year. I live in Pennsylvania and I can't stand the winters anymore. I want to live in a city with warm weather and preferably a low cost of living. Ideally I would be able to walk or take public transportation to work. Any ideas?

  1. jackson, ms

*has very low real estate pricing

  2. I would definitely say New York!!

  3. Houston, Texas would be a good choice, or somewhere in California.

  4. San Diego California! A little in the expensive side but there's always a way!

  5. texas, or California

  6. Cali!

Live in Escondido,San Marcos, Vista, nice places.

  7. Dallas TX

  8. Ga is your best option. You don't get hurricanes, you don't get earthquakes, you don't get many tornado's, the living cost isn't that bad, and you know your not going to get blown up by the super volcano in yellow stone. The beaches are beautiful, stone mountain park has a spectacular laser show, and it has the worlds largest aquarium.

  9. I've heard San Diego is pretty awesome

  10. Southern California is REALLY nice =3

  11. Start looking South, do a bit of research, it's not hard. cost of living is lower down there.

  12. North Carolina? its not that cold in the winters..very rural

  13. Florida or Hawaii

  14. maybe atlanta, or santa fe

  15. Im tellin u, dont even think about new yorkk, fk da moives u saw. i live in brooklyn its a piece of shet, u cant walk around nowhere without thinkin about gettin shot. i take da train every day and it aint fun. just stay in pennsylvania. its betta than anywhere else.

  16. New Orleans is a great place to live.  Don't let the crime rate deter you.  The rebuilding effort is ongoing and the future is really bright.  The cost of living is extremely low...believe me.  Great food, universities, culture, parks, museums, music, etc.

  17. california is nice :]

  18. Chicago

    it snows there

    but you can like walk

    alot of places

  19. Sounds like you're thinking of moving south, and to a big city for that matter if you want public transporation.  You pretty much have to if you want to rule out snow.  I live in the SF bay area and it's very nice in the summer and winter, but it's killer expensive living here so that's probably ruled out by your want of low cost of living.  Check out some of the large southern cities, such as Houston or Dallas if you can stand the heat.  If you're looking for something more temperate, check out New Orleans, Atlanta or Tampa.

  20. new york

  21. You could move to San Francisco and have everything except for the low cost of living.

  25. Well come to california....i dont know if you will make it in san diego with that much but its nice and warm over here....walking and public transportation definatly is possible over here...

  26. California is amazing but soo expensive.

If you move to a smaller city its not so bad though.

  27. There is nothing like the San Diegan lifestyle!

Move while the market is down!

  28. Austin...or better yet (for banking) Dallas

  29. i wouldnt recomend florida unless you speak fluent spanish, and things are qiute expensive down there.

try any city in the virginia-georgia vicinity.

  30. cook....Chicago, if you really want to learn to cook.

  31. Thats funny I live in PA too and I want to move.  I was thinking of moving to somewhere near Daytona beach area.  There are still reasonable areas in Florida to live.  You could always live in a hotel.
