Once I graduate from university here in the UK, I want to move to the U.S. to practice as a vet. I will be 22. I need to live on the east coast to be closest to England. As near the coast as possible would be great. Otherwise I have no idea where to go. Please give reasons for your suggestions. Thanks!

  1. You should move to Savannah, Georgia.

[edit] Charlotte is great too... I've never been to Atlanta, but I hear it's nice.

  2. The Charlotte, North Carolina area and Atlanta, Georgia would probably be best. Lower costs of living, great airports and milder climates.

And yes, Savannah is a great small city.

  3. Maryland. You get the best of both worlds.  It is coastal yet has many wooded areas. The seafood is really good. People are friendly. They listen to a lot of James Taylor. There are corn fields around every corner. It is beautiful there because they experience all of the seasons.
