I have a Panasonic 42" Plasma (TH-42PX60U) and I just bought a Samsung Surround Sound System (HT-TX72), I was curious to know where should I place (in feet) the 2 front speakers as well as the 2 back speakers to make sure that I am getting the best sound. I have my couch set up about 8 feet away from the TV.

  1. You will get better sound quality when all speakers are at ear level

  2. You should put one in each corner of the room. We did that with our speakers and it scares my friends whenever they come over to watch scary movies because it sounds like the monsters are behind them AND in the TV.

  3. Shouldn't really matter as long as the volume levels for each speaker are individually adjusted to the seating position. Mess around with the db level until it sounds good to your ears. A lot of receivers come with a microphone to make set up easy.

  4. We have two speakers up by the TV, and one each in front of our recliners so we can sit here and hear everything that comes out of them. The sound is great when it's pointed straight at you.

  5. propbaly get a surround set 2 place your spekers on
