I read it's best to put the baby in the middle of the back seat but is that for saftey reasons or because they are easier to reach there?

  1. I would put it in the second row behind the front passenger.

  2. In this situation put the car seat in the middle row behind the passengers seat.........

  3. the middle seat is safest in cause you get into a side collision car crash

  4. I believe it is for safety reasons. what kind of SUV do you have? expedition?

  5. Either row will be acceptable but the middle of the back seat is recommended because it offers the most protection from side and rear impacts and protects from air bags.

  6. I would go with behind the front passenger seat as well. Yes, the middle of the car is safest when it's available. I would not recommend putting the baby in the middle of the very back row. You would not be able to tend to him or her which could be dangerous as you would not be able to concentrate on your driving. Ensure that your bucket seat seatbelt locks into place- if not, use the lock piece that comes with your carseat, it's usually clipped in the back of it.
