Where should I put my coffee pot???

I just got a new coffee pot from Gevelia. It's bigger than my last one. I am wondering if it will hurt my cupboards if I put the coffee pot on the counter under the cupboards. The steam and condensation rises and I don't want it to hurt the wood on my cupboards. Will it?
