Question:

Where should I ski?

I'm an advanced skier and can tackle most things and am going away with an intermediate. I'd like to be challenged, but also want a good ski school that will be able to guide me and improve my skills. I'm not looking for apres-ski and just want somewhere that's good value for money. I'd be grateful of anyone who could push me in the right direction.

  4. Hodgie,

It really depends on where in the country you want to go......or out of the country. If you are up for great skiing I would recommend Squaw Valley in Lake Tahoe they have some of the best terrain for all ability levels. If you are searching for a bigger mountain in the US go with either Mammoth Mountain or Big Sky Montana. Both of these mountains are what I would consider epic ski mountains. They have great terrain, great food and you will have an awesome time. Now if you are up for a bit of out of country skiing check out Whistler/Blackcomb and Fernie both in British Columbia. Everyone has heard of Whistler and I will admit it is an amazing mountain but if you want to go somewhere that is still small and unknown go to Fernie it is a great resort(much like Jackson Hole was).

    Check them out!!!!
