Where should I start reading the manga Claymore?

I want to read where the anime stopped somewhere around episode 26, or does the anime really stray off from the manga so I gotta read from the start of the manga? I started reading the first few scenes but it got boring since it was mostly the same as the anime.

I think there are noticeable variations starting from volume ten. I would start reading from nine just in case though. And how awesome was that show? That was amazing.

You should start from the first chapter because anime and claymore manga is quite differrent.
