So, as I've posted in another question, I am using my RCI vacation. I'm planning on staying at Peublo Bonito Rose. But I thought I would post my other options and see if anyone had stayed at the other places and thought they were better.

My main concerns:

Clean Safe Place

Pretty :)

On the beach

Within walking distances of places like El Squid Roe, Zoo, Cabo Wabo

Here are my choices:

Cabo Holiday Club at Plaza Calafia

Cabo Villas

Condo Hotel Bahia

Fiesta Americana Vacation Club at Cabo de Sol

Finisterra Club & Resort

Hacienda del Mar Resort

Marina Fiesta Resort

Playa Grande Resort

Portofino Resort

Pueblo Bonito Resort at Sunset Beach

Pueblo Bonito Resort Los Cabos

Pueblo Bonito Rose Spa & Resort

Sol Mar Beach Club Resort

Tesoro Los Cabos

Villa del Palmar Cabo San Lucas

Vistazul Vacation Club

  1. Hola!  Well I think you picked oneof the best ones (Pueblo Rose) because it covers all your wants/concerns. Tesoro is a dump but closest to the nightclubs.  Finisterra and Fiesta Americana and Sol Mar is for an older crowd.  Hacienda del Mar is nice and so is the Play Grande, but I would say my second choice would be the Villa del Palmar.

What ever you chose you will be very happy because all of our resorts are pretty great.  Have fun!

  2. Go for the Haciendo del mar Resort!its so awesome

3 girlfriends and I had THE most amazing time in Los Cabos last week. We had stayed in downtown Cabo our first 2 nights and then transferred to Hacienda Del Mar Vacation Club for 5 more nights. The place was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The staff there was absolutely amazing (especially Alejandro and Guillermo around the pool) and we could not have asked for anything more. They took care of booking our spa treatments (where I had one of the best massages from Claudia!) and securing our ATV excursion while we lounged and relaxed with a few beverages (ATV excursion was boring...make sure the one you book goes up into the mountains...ours didn't). We made lots of new friends while lounging at the pool, and never had a problem finding a great spot, even in the early afternoon. The pools were all amazing, especially the infinity pools!

The food was ok but don't eat the sushi there! We were craving it one night, but ended up being very disappointed. We did have THE best sushi in town though at Nik-San's and great Italian food with huge portions at a great price at Salvatore's.

We purchased alcohol on our bus from the airport to our first hotel so we were set with that for the week, and it also saved us a lot of money. We also purchased food at the little store on the property and found the prices to be comparable to any other place. They have things like pasta, pasta sauce, milk, butter, bread, cheese, sandwich meat, chips, and beverages of all sorts. We stayed in a suite that had a small kitchen area with a stove and fridge and a seperate bedroom which was ample space for the 4 of us. The bathroom area was large enough for us all to get ready, and the fridge offered enough space for the food we purchsed and our beverages. Our room was always clean and we always had more than enough towels. I will say though that the walls are a little thin, and we did get a "friendly" knock on our last night there asking us to keep it down. Oops! It was also a bit tricky at first figuring out the calling card system. You can purchase those at the store but they are a little pricey for the amount of minutes you get. I think it was $10.00 for 22 minutes, plus a $4 connection fee. They also have to "activate" your room phone so it can be used with the calling card.

Our first few days in Cabo we ventured down to Medano beach which is a must (if you are an adult) during the day, then went to Squid Roe to dance all night!! We had so much fun and even took part in a little contest (which we won!). We met lots of fun people down there and had a blast...just beware of any "free" shots. They may not really be free! They'll just shove them down your throat and then ask for your money. If you are feeling adventurous, as we were, you can climb the rocks from the Solmar Suites Hotel over to Lover's Beach, then water taxi back over to Medano beach from there.

Also, you can get 4 tacos and a beer for $7 at Taco Loco in town and they were delicious. The bus was less than $2 from HDM into town, or it was $20 for the taxi each way. The bus was a little hot, but still clean and safe and worth the $2, but you will need to walk the long driveway from the hi-way to the resort.

We all agree that we would stay here again in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone. It is a little farther from town, but worth the drive! Througout our entire trip I don't think there was a time when any of us felt unsafe, although some of the locals on the street are quite forward! If you stay here, you will not be disappointed!
