Where should I stay in Carmen del Playa?

I'm off to the Yucatan for a few weeks. Any ideas on things to do in Carmen del Playa?

Playa del Carmen has a wide range of possibilities for accommodation.  There are beach front luxury hotels, to modest in the city places.  There are Bed and Breakfast and there are condos to rent.  Trip advisor is a good source of information as previously suggested and of course you can check some other commercial sites like Expedia and www.cancun.com

Playa is in the Caribbean and thus it offers some beautiful, clear water and white sandy beaches.  You can do any of the following:

- walk the beach;

- snorkel and swim in ocean;

- shop and many stores in town;

- eat and drink in many good restaurants and clubs;

- go diving (of the coast of Cozumel, which it is a short ferry cross from Playa del Carmen;

- you can visit and swim or snorkel in multiple cenotes in the area;

- you can visit close by Mayan ruins, including Tulum

- you can enjoy a full day of activities at Xcaret (http://xcaret.com/) you can go visit Cancun for shopping and or parting

- you can visit Cozumel for shopping, dinning, snorkeling, etc.

- or you can simply relax and enjoy life by the sea.

lots to do in Playa del Carmen.  Lots of great restaurants, but more laid back than Cancun.

I would stay 1/2 of my stay in Playa Del Carmen and 1/2 in Cancun.

How can Pastor International Marketing, S.A. de C.V (PIMSA) stay in business???

They are website host and designers/copiers, not a Travel Agency. My families vacation was ruined by this bunch and I really don't think I will ever recommend them to anyone, ever. As a matter of fact, I will tell everyone that I know not to Set up a Wedding, Rent a Room, Car, Tour, Airport Transfer or anything from these Fakes ever. They took my familes vacation money and destroyed our vacation in Cancun. We didn't get anything promised and what we got was telephone hang-ups, and lies. If they were in Canada we would run them out of the country. The owner was trying to get fresh with my wife on the phone when she made the reservations
