Any suggestions of fun neighborhoods to stay in for New Year's Eve in Sevilla, Spain? Even better, does anyone know of a hotel that's inexpensive, clean, and also in/close to a fun neighborhood in Sevilla?

  1. We really liked the Barrio Santa Cruz, also known as the Jewish Quarter. It's charming area and full of great tapas bars, restaurants, cafes, etc. It's pretty centrally located to all the sites Seville has to offer (we walked everywhere). It's a vibrant neighborhood...there was wonderful flamenco at a cultural center nearby. I cannot recall the name of the hotel we stayed in, but here's a link with some ideas. We didn't stay in one, but we were also impressed with the look of many of the hostels in the area (safe, well maintained, charming entryway, etc). Enjoy this beautiful city!

  2. The city of Seville may be the fourth largest in Spain, but it is a place where you can see open countryside from the city centre, and even pick the legendary Seville oranges from trees. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/seville... for details of hotels etc.
