Question:

Where should I study abroad in England?

I want to study abroad for a semester in England, preferably somewhere in London or close by. I have no trouble researching institutions, but I have trouble finding out how competitive it is to get accepted. Are there any websites that post acceptance rates for study abroad applicants? How many should I apply to? Also, I am finding it hard to discover the quality of these universities in terms of education and college life. It's not like colleges are going to say that they are "just okay" on their official websites. Where can I find out about that? If an institution is rated very high, would it be very difficult to get accepted? Also, if anyone has suggestions for an institution I can attend any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

  1. I suggest that you begin with the link below.

However, please keep in mind that very few schools are going to let you enroll for one semester -- that is, knowing that you do not want to earn a degree there -- unless you just enroll for a summer course.

The best way to study abroad for one semester only is to attend a US university that has a study abroad program (most colleges and universities in the US have the program).
