Where should I study abroad?

I'm really debating the first two. I'm a double major in film and psychology and a minor in Spanish. Help!

I would choose somewhere in Spain or Chile - probably Spain (but that's just because Spain is a personal favourite). I think one of the best experiences in studying abroad is the fact you're being immersed into a completely different culture. Of course, Australia will be different, but it's such a different experience with a new language involved. I'm sure you know some Spanish now, but being in another country for a semester, or a few months even, will definitely improve your skills. I wouldn't be surprised if you were fluent when you returned.

I know nothing about those universities so I'm not even going to try to comment on that, but if you're torn between the first two I would really urge you to consider the one in Chile. I think it would be a more rewarding experience than in Australia.

Just like the first answerer, I would encourage you to go for either Spain or Chile. I just did a Screenwriting course in Melbourne (Australia) and had a friend from Chile. He said Universidad Alberto Hurtado is pretty awesome. Don't go for Deakin. Most of the people I know said it's not a good enough school. If you choose Melbourne, go for the highly prestigious Victorian College of the Arts instead.

Well, if you planned on continuing any studies in Spanish, your best bet would be chile. Although I prefer the spanish spoken in spain, what´s spoken in South America, seems to be more accepted as the norm

Definitely consider Chile or Spain, but I think you might like Santiago. They love the arts and they got a pretty interesting blossoming film industry. Chile is known as the "country of poets" with writers such as Isabel Allende (author of "The House of Spirits") and the late Pablo Neruda.

Alicante and Madrid are also great cities, but I think you might get more from your time in Chile. The people are very warm and friendly too. Here is more info about Chile: http://www.macquil.com/articles/chile.ph...
