Where should I take my bf for dinner on his b-day?

Going out for dinner this Friday! Taking the kids (2 both age 8). Were going to go to the calgary tower but it's closed! Pleeease... I need some ideas for where to go. He likes comfort food...mashed potatoes, burgers, wings...nothing exotic. We like moxies and Chilies, but looking for something different.... maybe an experience..not just a meal. Thanks :)

Sorry I can't help you with your location, but why not call the food story critic/editor at your local paper for ideas?

I use Zagat and the LA Times when we want to try something new....all the time.
