Where should I take my boyfriend out for dinner on his birthday?

We usually go to places like Applebees, Chilis and love going to Red Lobster but I wanted to try something new and fun. He pretty much loves everything except pasta.

take him to one of those restaurants that (japanese maybe?) had the cook actually come out and cook on a grill in front of your table. those are pretty cool to watch!

guys usually like the "outback" great food-good steaks and if they have halibut it's the best and the beer is reallly cold. I'm hungry !

I am not form Phoenix.. never been there, but many restaurants in Phoenix show up on zagat.com. I find zagat reviews reliable. Check out zagat.com and find a local place that has food he likes rather than a chain. It will be a huge surprise and perhaps a little romantic.. leading to something cool later. Zagat includes reviews at all price points..
