Where should I take my girlfriend to dinner in Charlotte, NC?

My girlfriend is currently out of the country and I want to surprise her and take her to a nice place for dinner when she gets back at the beginning of next week. However, I don't really have any ideas of where to take her.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Money really isn't an issue as long as its not too extremely expensive. The type of cuisine really doesn't matter too much either. Thanks so much

As far as I'm concerned, the place to take her in Charlotte is Villa Antonio's Italian restaurant on South Boulevard at Woodlawn. It's been a couple of years since I've been in Charlotte, but I was impressed with the food, the service, and the portions! Don't leave without their tiramisu for dessert.

If you can go a bit higher in price, the choice then has to be Bonterra Restaurant at  1829 Cleveland Ave near the intersection of South Blvd. and East Blvd. It is a converted church and has always had a top notch menu, including fried lobster. You won't be disappointed with either choice.
