My boyfriend (who LOVES horror and the 80's) is going to be in New York City for his birthday, and I wanted to rent a room somewhere to throw a surprise party for him. There will probably be about 20-30 people there, all young adults. Any good suggestions????

  1. TenJune or Main Event.

  2. Culture Club is great for the 80's music but Jekyll and Hyde has the horror aspect and they would probably play 80s for you.  I have no idea how much it would be to have a party there, but it's worth a call:

Jekyll and Hyde Restaurant and Bar

91 7th Avenue South New York, NY 10014

  3. EASY!!!

Jekyll & Hyde Restaurant 1409 Sixth Ave., New York, NY 10014 57th St. 212-541-9517

Its a restaurant with a haunted theme!! He will love it and the food is excellent. I have been going for years.. There is also another one located at 91 7th Avenue South New York, NY 10014 212.989.7701 (57th is better but to each his own)

This is just some of the menu below.....

  4. Culture Club::   Placed in the not so hip western SoHo, this 80's nostalgia club stays true to its theme without being overly cheesy. Everyone is let in and the music will take you back to the big 80's, whether you want it or not.

179 Varick St., Hudson Square (Betw. King & Charlton Sts.
