Where should I travel to after graduating?

Ok, I'm a senior in college and I really want to go out of the country in between undergrad and grad school but I don't know exactly where. I have a pretty bad case of wanderlust right now so I've been looking at the Bahamas, Cozumel, and Australia but I really dunno what would be the ideal trip for newbie travelers. It's probably gonna be a group of 2-4 girls going for a week-2 weeks. I want to travel the path less traveled but be safe about it too. Also, I really want to go scuba diving..Any Ideas?

Cozumel would be a great idea. It is really involved in diving and you can learn in a great environment there. With the small group you have you could get one or two rooms and have a blast. You can even start your PADI Certification online at www.padi.com  . Their e-learning gets the book work out of the way so all you have to do is the tests and water skills which is the fun part.

Key West, excellent diving there, then take a boat to the Dry Tortugas, you'll still be in the USA where it's SAFE ! !
