I want to go to London, Los Angeles/San Diego or Las Vegas. Other countries that I am considering are Argentina, parts of Europe including France, Italy and Switzerland.

Where should I go? I don't care about money but I am going to be budget-conscious.

  1. I don't have an answer for you but I am in the same boat so I thought through talking about it maybe we could help each other.  I would like to take a 2 week holiday in March or April of this year, am traveling solo and could go anywhere in the world.  I am considering Argentina most seriously because a friend who was there last summer told me Buenos Aires is like Paris but without the pretense or expense.  He loved it and keeps telling me to just go.  It's very inexpensive for Americans to travel there so my thought is 'why not travel where my dollar goes far than to a place where it doesn't?' But, like you, I'm not 100% cconvinced yet.  BA is very modern and European, but it's also very big, about 12 million people.  There are the Iguazu Falls that I've heard are beautiful (but also very touristic) and of course, Patagonia.  If you want to talk more, you can email me.  London is awesome and cosmopolitan and very expensive.  LA is meh, unless you like that kind of 'culture', San Diego is fantastic. What could be better than Italy or France but also the most expensive it has ever been for Americans to travel there.  Ugh! What a terrible dilemma we are in, huh? We can travel wherever we want and don't know where to go, gee, I feel blessed that this is my biggest problem right now!
