  1. ANA has highlighted a lot of places in Perth and southern WA . Money Mia has also been mentioned.

Further North , you have Karratha , Port Hedlands in the Pilbarra, Broom is a rather historic town. .The Kimberley is spectacular with its red cliffs and waterfalls.

Exmouth is famous for Ningaloo Marine Park  which matches Great Barrier Reefs , also there's the schooling of the whale sharks from April - June every year. Also humpback whales migration June - December along the coast of WA.

How about Kalgoolie for the gold mines in central WA ?

  4. monkey mia is over rated, you aren't allowed to swim with or touch the one or two dolphins that come in to the shore, there is very little else to do there.

Magaret river is a lovely region with good beaches and lots of vineyards, not sure about the public transport though

exmouth is fabulous because of the cape range national park in which is the ningaloo reef best snorkelling in the world and if you go soon you can take a trip on a boat and swim with a whale shark, mind you its expensive abour $200 for the cheapest trip out.

if you are not into the water then theres the bibulum track that stretches from perth to albany you can walk a bit or a lot and there are camp sites to stay at on the way

in perth and the close surronds there is kings park overlooking the swan river, you can take a boat down the river, more vineyards!

  13. well, a lot of the best places have already been mentioned... but if you wanna go RIGHT to the top of WA then:

broome is a really nice, laid-back town with a nice holiday atmosphere.
