Where should I visit while in Europe?

Starting October 7th I am going over to Europe for two months. Staying in Innsbruck, Austria (my birthplace). I plan on getting a Eurail pass. Where do you think I should visit? What are definite places I need to go?

good question!

It may be a good idea to get a map out and one of those lonely planet type books on the whole of europe.

First of all id put some x's on the map of the places you've always dreamed of going to. research these places and find out if you can afford it, how long you might like to stay etc etc, and delete if appropriate. Then id link you places up, adding in places along the way. for example, if you want to go to krakow,poland from austria, you may want to stop somewhere in the czech republic (e.g prauge, cesky krumluv) along the way, especilly if travelling by train.

Ive just come back from a months trip in which i started in warsaw, moved onto krakow (both poland),then prauge, cesky krumlov (AMAZING!), salzberg (great too!), vienna, budapest and finally island hopping along the croatian coast.

You'll also have to think about how log youd like to stay- do you want to do lots of places, for 3/4 each, or pick say, 8 places and do 1 week in each- this will of course influence our budget, as most places on the euro are more expensive than those who arent (except england-its expensive here anyway!)

As your going for quite a while, i would suggest fitting in a few days in the middle and maybe even a week at the end, where you are in a relaxing place, maybe a beachy town or somewhere you can slow down the pace a little, as viewing all those sites can get a little tiring after a while, and you are suppose to be on holiday!

London = to visit castles during medieval times. And the hot Royals place.

Actually every place in Europe is worth visiting.
